3-15-23 THOUGHTS
GOD has chosen to reveal Himself to us. In the words below, the psalmist leads us through our appropriate response to knowing God! Verse 3 is powerful to me this morning... “Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.” How marvelous that we possess an interest (His gift) in the love of so glorious a Being! Be glad! Seek God with your all your might! Life is short, Eternity speaks for itself. We must focus on what matters. Thank You, O God, for being You, and for your love in Christ Jesus.
Ps 105:1-8 Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. 2 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. 3 Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad. 4 Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. 5 Remember His wonders which He has done, His marvels and the judgments uttered by His mouth, 6 O seed of Abraham, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones! 7 He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth. 8 He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,
Ps 34:2 My soul will make its boast in the LORD; The humble will hear it and rejoice.
Ps 40:16 Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, "The LORD be magnified!"
Ps 68:3 But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
Php 3:7-9 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
My Prayer:
Keep the joy of your salvation forefront in our hearts, O Father. May we be glad as we consider your glory and majesty and contemplate on your great love toward us. May we seek your face continually. Make us alive in spirit, and work within us to your glory. May you be magnified in us, O God. In the name of our Savior, Amen.
